I must confess, Pippa Middleton stole the show for me at her sister Kate's wedding yesterday. I remember watching The Royal Wedding on BBC1, seeing her form-fitting dress and whispering to myself, "it really isn't your wedding love." But on second thoughts, I must say all power to the Middleton family who understand the art of and power behind female grooming.
Let's just think about it. The Royal Wedding has to be the biggest husband finding platform for any single lady that was privileged to have received an invite. Being Maid of Honour however would have put anyone on prime spotlight. So here's what the Middletons did. Pippa had to be Maid of Honour, and she had to skilfully perform her duties, but first, they had to settle on "the dress". The fairy godmother with the winning dress formula came in the form of Sarah Burton, Creative Director of Alexander McQueen. She designed a figure hugging ivory crepe dress with a cowl-front and organza-covered buttons at the back.
So if you ever get invited to a wedding and you happen to be single, be sure to present yourself in the best possible light.
