Wedding Dress Inspiration 2012

Choosing a wedding dress can be such a daunting tax. You may have an idea of what sort of look you are going for or prefer some inspiration as a starting point. Well if you fit the the profile of the bride who wants her dress to be dramatic, transmitting a strong sense of style and identity or complementary of the wedding venue, I have the ultimate gift for you.

The newly refurbished Victoria and Albert Museum in London will be hosting "Ballgowns-British Glamour since 1950" exhibiting stunning ballgowns and red carpet evening wear by British based designers from the 19th of May 2012- 6th of January 2013. AandR Party girls should definitely put this in the diary as it only costs a measly, jaw dropping £10 per ticket!

This would be an absolute treat as the exhibition will feature more than sixty designs including Jenny Packham(we totally ADORE), Victor Stiebel, Jonathan Saunders, Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon (Designer of the Year at World Fashion Awards in Moscow just last week), Erdem amongst others.

I am particularly interested in getting a copy of  Ballgowns - British Glamour since 1950: a book containing photographs of British ballgowns designed by British fashion legends including Alexander McQueen, Bellville Sassoon, Bill Gibb, Erdem, Gareth Pugh, Stella McCartney and Zandra Rhodes.

Here's a little taster of what will be on show at the exhibition......

Hope this helps.

Love,
Rugie x
