Well for those that don't know much about me, I was born and raised in Sierra Leone and still feel very strongly about everything Sierra Leonean. The 27th of April 2012 marked our 51st independence and was celebrated by Sierra Leoneans across the globe.I was blown away and inspired by the ladies' outfits at the Green White and Blue Ball organised by young Sierra Leoneans in the United States to mark this special event. For Sierra Leoneans in the UK there was a palpable sense of excitement and pride as we looked through pictures of what appeared to be a well-organised event.
To kick off the wedding season and celebrate the renaissance of African fashion, I'd share a few loud, bold and beautiful African dresses. We would like to thank Deewole Photos for sharing the pictures and hope this post entices you to go for an African inspired outfit this season....
